Who We Are
- Diablo Valley CYO Track Section I is one of the three CYO Track and Field programs for the Oakland Diocese CYO. Section 1 CYO track teams are from Catholic schools and parishes in the Diablo Valley, Tri Valley and Delta areas of the Diocese of Oakland.
- Ages and Events: Girls and Boys, 3rd through 8th Grades, participate in a variety of track events - sprints, distance races and relays - and field events including long jump, high jump, shot put and softball throw.
- Events: Practice begins in February and meets beginning in March. After weekend preliminary meets, Section 1 will qualify participants through a Section Qualifying Meet and then a Section Championship Meet, leading to the annual Oakland Diocese CYO Championship Meet in May.

Important dates for 2023
- Practice begins: Wednesday, February 1, 2023
- Coaches Certification Workshops: March 7, St. Francis of Assisi, 7 p.m.
- Section Meets begin: Saturday, March 18
- No CYO Activities: Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday, April 6 - April 9
- Section 1 Qualifying Meets: Saturday, April 29
- Section 2 Champtionship Meet: Thursday, May 4 and Saturday, May 6
- Diocesan Track and Field Meet: Friday evening, May 12 and Saturday, May 13
