The following holidays are the minimum required for Parish employees. Pastors may add additional holidays at their discretion.
New Year’s Day observed (January 2)
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 16)
Presidents’ Day (February 20)
Memorial Day (May 29)
Independence Day (July 4)
Labor Day (September 4)
Veteran’s Day observed (November 10)
Thanksgiving (November 23)
Day after Thanksgiving (November 24)
Christmas Eve observed (December 22)
Christmas (December 25)
New Year’s Eve observed (December 29)
Because of the religious nature of the day, parish offices are closed from at least noon on Good Friday (April 7)
When a federal holiday (all but the Day after Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve above) falls on a weekend, the holiday observance will be moved to either the Friday preceding the holiday (if the holiday falls on a Saturday) or the Monday following the holiday (if the holiday falls on a Sunday).
Observance of the minimum holidays is not transferable to a different date without incurring double time pay for non-exempt employees.
