Welcome to the 2025 CYO Cross Country SEASON!
New Coach Background Check and Sign-Ups! (Please read in full)
All Coaches or any Volunteers interacting with CYO players must complete a background check. As a New CYO Coach, select your Location and Time below by simply selecting the Click Here link associated with your preferred location. (Please bring the completed LiveScan form to your appointment and a valid driver's license--preferred-- or other form of government issued identification. You can download the LiveScan form from the sign-up Genius).
Secondly: If you are a New Cross-Country Coach, please complete the following New Cross-Country Coach GoogleForm after completing your sign-up genius so that I can contact you regarding the online workshop (https://forms.gle/WttgvjVrKtUB1k9t7).
Returning CYO Coaches who have already completed fingerprinting through CYO are not required to do so again. If you are unsure, you can check your Virtus account.

- Thursday, September 11th (5:30 to 8:00 PM): St. Raymond Catholic Church (Moran Hall), 11555 Shannon Avenue, Dublin, California 94568 (Click Here To Register for Finger Printing at St. Raymond).
- Wednesday, September 17th (5:30 to 8:00 PM): Church of The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary, 1100 Fulton Ave | San Leandro, CA 94577 (Click Here To Register for Finger Printing at Church of the Assumption).
- BACKUP DATE: Saturday, October 4th (8:00 AM to 11:00 AM): Christ the King --St. Stephen Parish, 195A Brandon Rd., Pleasant Hill CA 94523. (Will be posted if needed).
- Still working on getting a date at St. Anne's. Sept. 15 is a likely date. Waiting to Confirm with Parish
- Coaches may attend any of the Live-Scan assigned dates to complete fingerprinting responsibility.

- Practice may begin: Friday, August 15
- Parish/School Coordinators' Meeting (1): Tuesday, August 19 at 7:00 PM Via Zoom.
- New Coaches Certification Workshop: Wednesday, August 20 via Zoom. (Sign-Up Here).
- Returning Coaches Meeting (Zoom): Thursday, August 21. (Please contact your parish coordinator for information.)
- Parish/School Coordinators' Meeting (2): Wednesday, September 11
- MEET DATES: Important (Meets 1 and 5 are Diocesan Meets and include all runners. Split Meets at Parish Specific and will be indicated shortly.)
- Meet 1: The Oakland Diocese Open, SAT, SEPT. 13 at Shadow Cliffs: First heat 10:00 AM with coach meeting at 9:15.
- Meet 2: The Split Decision, FRI, SEPT. 26 at Oakhill Park and Joaquin Miller Park
- Meet 3: The Split Relay, FRI, OCT. 3 at Oakhill Park and Crown Beach
- Meet 4: The Last Split: FRI, OCT. 10 at Shadow Cliffs and Joaquin Miller
- Meet 5: The Oakland Diocese Championship, FRI, OCT. 17 at Quarry Lakes at 5:00 PM with coach meeting at 4:15.
- Meets (except for Meets 1 and 5, Diocese Open and Diocese Championship) will begin at 5:30 p.m. sharp, Coaches Meeting at 4:45 p.m.

DOGS At Meets? Not a good idea!
While it seems nice to brng your dog to a Cross Country meet, the dogs become nervous and can create a hazard for children and the dog. We welcome Service Animals, but ask that other dogs are left at home!
