2025 Girls' CYO Basketball Coaches Registration

This coming season, returning CYO Girls' Basketball coaches (those certified in the 2023-2024 school year seasons) may be certified to coach in the 2025 season without attending a CYO Coaches Certification Workshop. This registration form is ONLY for those who will be coaching in the SPRING 2025 girls' basketball in the western part of the diocese.

RETURNING COACHES CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To be certrified as a returning  coach, you must do thei following:

• Have been previously certified to coach in CYO for a 2023-2024 school year CYO sports season;
• Log in to your page on the Virtus website to be sure that you have completed the training course after February 1, 2022 and have been cleared by the Diocese of Oakland through Livescan fingerprinting.  Your page can be found on the Virtus website:  virtusonlne.org
• Download and read the 2024-2025 CYO Athletic Manual.  Click Here to Download CYO Athletic Manual
• Complete and submit the form below to register as a CYO Coach

NEW COACHES: If you are a new coach, or you were not certified in 2023-2024 you must attend a CYO Coaches Certification Workshop and be in compliance with diocesan Safe Environment requirements (Virtus training and Fingerprint clearance).  If you are a NEW CYO coach, do not complete this form.  Workshop Registration will be at the workshop. Click on this link for Workshop informatiopn.

COMPLETING CERTIFICATION AND CERTIFICATION CARDS: Once you submit this completed form and your eligibilty will be checked by CYO, your 2024-2025 Coaches Certification Card will be mailed to you. You are not considered to be a certified coach until you complete these requirements and receive your card.  You may not sit on a team bench until you receive your card.  Please allow time for processing!
